Pacific Rubiales’s Reserves At Quifa Field At 280 Million Barrels
Business News April 16th. 2010, 4:12pmBOGOTA -(Dow Jones)- Canada-listed oil company Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. (PRE.T) said the reserves at its Quifa field stands at 280 million barrels of crude, according to comments from Colombian President Alvaro Uribe on Saturday.
The oil field is operated by Pacific Rubiales, and the Canadian company owns 40% of the operation, while state-controlled oil company Ecopetrol SA (ECOPETROL.BO) owns the remaining 60%.
Officials at Pacific Rubiales weren’t available for comment.
Pacific Rubiales and Ecopetrol also own in partnership the Rubiales field, which produces about 114,000 barrels a day.
Shares of Pacific Rubiales fell 0.9% on Friday to C$19.84.
