Judge: Kate Gosselin Owes Marriage Counselor $10k
Business Information July 1st. 2011, 8:56pmKate Gosselin, the reality TV mom of eight, was recently ordered by a judge to pay an old debt for counseling services and travel. According to reports, a Luzerne County district judge ordered her to pay Sylvia Lafair $10,476 for the 2009 debts.
Lafair owns a company called Creative Energy Options in White Haven, Pennsylvania. According to reports, Lafair sued Kate because she did not pay for counseling services that Kate and her husband Jon received. Lafair also says she was never paid for a trip to Los Angeles she took to counsel the couple in person.
Despite the fact that the couple obviously tried to get help from professionals as their marriage crumbled, they ended up divorcing any way. They carried out a very public split. Lafair is still working with Jon apparently and recently told a website that he and his new girlfriend Ellen are doing well. “I think they would be wonderful parents and it would give Jon an opportunity to parent with a partner,” Dr. LaFair told HollyBaby.com. “Partner parenting is an amazing thing for kids that are able to have that in their lives.”
